Under these exceptional circumstances, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission has permitted us to extend the draw dates and offer sales by telephone.You are able to submit requests for tickets on our website page fwrotary.ca and volunteers will call you to complete the transaction over the phone. In addition, we expect to have phone lines available for direct call-ins noon to 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays starting mid-April. Mail-in requests remain unchanged. Your support is critical to the success of this event and the support it provides to critical charities in our Community –Thank- you for your continued support! 34th Fort William Rotary House Lottery Kicks Off!It’s a true sign of Spring! Tickets are now for sale for the 34th Fort William Rotary House Lottery! This year’s house is valued at Valued at $589,946 and is located at 317 South Creek Street in prestigious River Terrace. The 34thFort William Rotary House Lottery will once again benefit our entire community. “The Fort William Rotary House Lottery is our club’s biggest endeavor and we are extremely proud to that we have supported our community for the past thirty-four years through the ticket sales,” says Stephen Margarit, Fort William Rotary President. “It’s a huge project for our small club and we are thankful for the support that we have received over the years. This year’s house, built by Lormar-Mario Michieli, will help us to continue our tradition of supporting local charities in our community.” |
FW Rotary Supports George Jeffrey Children's Centre Steven MacDonald, Executive Director of George Jeffrey Children's Foundation, Stephen Margarit, President of Fort William Rotary, and Tina Bennett, CEO of George Jeffrey Children's Centre stand in front of the Centre with the new utility van. George Jeffrey Children's Foundation and Centre are celebrating Fort William Rotary Club's generosity that is bringing significant enhancements to services at George Jeffrey Children's Centre. As part of their support, the Fort William Rotary Club has funded a utility van that will be used for getting trial equipment to children's homes and schools, as well as for transporting equipment for the centre's children's recreation programs including sledge hockey, fishing, kayaking, bicycling and other outdoor programming.

Thunder Bay Rotary Clubs Celebrate UN International Day of PeaceOn September 21st the 3 Rotary Clubs of Thunder Bay hosted the UN International Day of Peace at Prince Arthur’s Landing Tai Chi Garden. One of Rotary’s key areas of focus is Peace and this year’s United Nation’s theme was “Peace Through Climate Change”. Flags of all nations surrounded the park. The Peace Pole installed on Saul Laskin Drive has “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in English, French and Ojibwa. |

Fort William Rotary Completes 33rd Annual House Lottery!Thunder Bay, 11.7.2019: - Fort William Rotarians, along with the house builder, presented the ceremonial key to Jessica Chunick, the winner of the 33rd Annual Fort William Rotary House Lottery. The grand prize was a fabulous 1790 square foot home valued at $590,489.00. Built by Lormar Construction Ltd. (Mario Michieli), the house is located in the Sherwood Estates. Fort William Rotary was also happy to announce that the proceeds from this year’s House Lottery total $435,000.00! |
